POSITION: Account Manager

The Metrics Marketing Account Manager is responsible for maintaining and growing client relationships. The position will be charged with the effective management of client business, deepening and strengthening Metrics' relationships with clients, and assisting in the coordination or resources on the client's behalf.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years experience, ideally as an account manager for a marketing or direct marketing firm.
  • General understanding of database marketing techniques including targeting, segmentation, modeling, analytics, list selection, measurement and reporting.
  • Basic knowledge of relational databases and data warehouse architecture.
  • Experience managing creative development process and campaign execution
  • Undergraduate business degree required.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully coordinate the activity of marketing resources and to deliver client solutions on time and on budget.
  • Demonstrated ability to engender client loyalty.
  • Ability to increase business from existing clients through the identification of new sales opportunities.

Position Objectives
  • Acting as the client lead, managing Metrics resources (where appropriate) to meet client needs.
  • Provide strong project management , including documentation of all requirements, communications and decisions made as well as quality control review prior to presentation of deliverables
  • Maintain client relationships (growing the relationship whenever possible) serving as the "point" or "key support" person for current clients.
  • Leverage professional experience and skills in an effort to increase efficiencies of Metrics' account management processes (e.g. traffic, production, billing, etc…)
  • Utility player mindset: maintain flexibility to be used in a variety of other roles (including some potential administrative duties) to support the team with a "whatever it takes" to get it done attitude.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Help Metrics meet or exceed client expectations through effective project management and coordination of Metrics resources.
  • Perform in the lead day‐to‐day client liaison role or provide back‐up or secondary client support based on the individual client situation/need, including, but not limited to, the following:
    • Coordinate, facilitate and document all interactions with the client
    • Documentation of all relevant project information for both internal and client use (e.g. timelines, status updates, data catalog, processing specifications, production calendars, etc)
    • Perform quality control review of all deliverables (e.g. mail file audits, report validations, etc)
  • Increase client confidence in Metrics through effective management of their account.
  • Preserve Metrics profit margin through effective client management and efficient / prudent use of Metrics resources.
  • Assist with growing business within current clients by identifying new sales opportunities.
  • Become knowledgeable with the breadth and depth of Metrics solutions.

Secondary Responsibilities
  • Provide occasional administrative support ‐‐ if/when needed, such as:
    • Billing coordination
    • Document preparation for client presentations

Additional Responsibilities
  • Fit the Metrics culture: honesty; hard work; team‐focused
  • Gain "working knowledge" of technologies required to keep Metrics "leading‐edge"
  • Travel as necessary.

Reporting Relationship
Account Manager reports to Account Supervisor and Vice President, Account Director
