POSITION: Analytics Consultant

The Metrics Marketing Analytics Consultant will blend technical skills, analytical expertise and business acumen to execute analytics and deliver strategic business insights and marketing performance results. The position will have a broad scope of responsibility, including the aggregation of datasets, statistical analysis, and measurement of performance lift and ROI. He or she will gain experience across a variety of clients and applications and interact with various functional areas (Business Units, Marketing, Technology, Finance) and industries. The analyst must be comfortable both performing analysis and communicating results to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications
  • Qualified candidates need to possess: 3+ years of analytical experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline required. Higher education in statistics, mathematics, MBA or other graduate degree is a plus
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills; proven ability to process vast amounts of data into meaningful information and insights
  • Familiarity with statistical techniques such as multivariate regression, logistic regression, t-tests, CHAID/CART modeling and basic experimental design
  • Experience using data query and analysis tools such as SAS or SQL and working with large databases
  • Understanding of marketing strategy and analysis, campaign targeting, test design and measurement
  • Ability to work independently and take the initiative to resolve issues that arise
  • Capable of working in a dynamic environment, handling multiple projects under tight deadlines, and able to respond to issues quickly and creatively
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, ability to explain technical/analytical concepts and issues to non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to learn quickly and to apply new tools and techniques

Primary Responsibilities
  • Design and implement reports to measure campaign and program performance lift and ROI.
  • Acquire and aggregate data from a variety of sources; audit contents and ensure proper usage of data fields; merge, summarize, and transform data as required for analysis
  • Apply statistical methods and execute analyses, such as: build targeting models, develop segmentation schemes, create test designs, measure program performance - independently or under the supervision of a senior analyst, depending on project complexity.
  • Work within teams to address client business problems, set expectations, communicate progress and issues, produce results, and deliver findings
  • Assist in presenting findings to clients in a highly professional manner
  • Provide data and analytic support to strategic initiatives
  • Keep informed of leading-edge techniques and technologies; acquire training and new skills/knowledge to support development of analytical offering

Secondary Responsibilities
  • May also provide training for new processes and tools
  • May develop new tools and methodology to be used by other marketing analysts

Additional Responsibilities
  • Fit the Metrics culture: honesty; hard work; team-focused
  • Gain "working knowledge" of technologies required to keep Metrics "leading-edge"
  • Some travel may be required

Reporting Relationship
Analytics Consultant reports to the Vice President of Consulting Services.
