POSITION: Interactive Account Manager

Position Description
The Metrics Marketing Interactive Account Manager is responsible for maintaining and growing client relationships. The position will be charged with the effective management of client business, deepening and strengthening Metrics Marketing's relationships with clients, and assisting in the coordination or resources on the client's behalf.

Qualifications
  • Experience (minimum 3 years) as an account manager for an interactive marketing firm, or marketing position client-side whose responsibility includes interactive projects.
  • Undergraduate business degree required.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully coordinate the activity of marketing resources and to deliver client solutions on time and on budget.
  • Demonstrated ability to engender client loyalty.
  • Ability to increase business from existing clients through the identification of new sales opportunities.
  • Ability to gain business from new prospects preferred.

Position Objectives
  • Acting as the client lead for interactive projects, manage Metrics Marketing resources (where appropriate) to meet client needs.
  • Maintain client relationships (growing the relationship whenever possible) serving as the "point" or "key support" person for current clients.
  • Leverage professional experience and skills in an effort to increase efficiencies of Metrics Marketing's account management processes (e.g. traffic, production, billing, etc...)
  • Utility player mindset: maintain flexibility to be used in a variety of other roles (including some potential administrative duties) to support the team with a "whatever it takes" to get it done attitude.
  • Generate "hot" or "warm" leads in new business support role.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Help Metrics Marketing meet or exceed client expectations through effective project management and coordination of Metrics Marketing resources.
  • Perform in the lead day-to-day client liaison role or provide back-up or secondary client support based on the individual client situation/need. In either case, increase client confidence in Metrics Marketing through effective management of their account.
  • Understand our client's business needs and effectively identify and review appropriate technologies in order to develop comprehensive and strategic plans
  • Be able to clearly articulate Metrics Marketing's key differentiators as it relates to interactive marketing and explain our approach
  • Provide project management coordination for interactive driven assignments.
  • Preserve Metrics Marketing profit margin through effective client management and efficient / prudent use of Metrics Marketing resources.
  • Assist with growing business within current clients by identifying new sales leads.
  • Help build enhanced or more formalized Metrics Marketing account management processes and structure.
  • Become knowledgeable with the breadth and depth of Metrics Marketing solutions. Particularly focused on interactive technologies
  • Stay abreast of the latest technologies and market trends
Secondary Responsibilities
  • Generate new business leads through the identification and cultivation of new client prospects.
  • Provide occasional administrative support -- if/when needed, such as:
    • Billing coordination
    • Client meeting coordination
  • Help educate client and internal staff on interactive best practices, and be the advocate for the Interactive Services Group
Additional Responsibilities
  • Fit the Metrics Marketing culture: honesty; hard work; team-focused
  • Gain "working knowledge" of technologies required to keep Metrics Marketing "leading-edge"
  • Travel as necessary.

Account Manager reports to Vice President, Interactive Services and Vice President, Account Services.
