POSITION: Social Media Specialist
The Metrics Marketing Social Media Specialist is a public relations professional and an unabashed social media junkie responsible for maintaining and growing our Social Media expertise. The most important part of this job is that the candidate must have demonstrated extensive social media experience. To join our team of relationship builders, this heavy online conversationalist must possess exceptional writing and media relations skills, along with demonstrated ability to map out and drive marketing public relations strategies that exceed client expectations. Experience with marketing strategy and social media concepts, analytics, detail oriented, and project management a must.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field is preferred but not required
- Positive attitude, strong work ethics, and ability to multi task
- Willingness to learn
- Highly organized and great attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, articulate communicator who can speak the language of bloggers
- Strong analytical skills and experience in measuring word of mouth
- Ability to take direction and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-sensitive environment.
- Proven success implementing social media campaigns
- Enthusiastic and passionate about social media – active participation in a variety of online communities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Create a comprehensive social media strategy to define programs that use social media marketing techniques to increase visibility, membership and traffic.
- Create and maintain relationships with industry bloggers and other key online influencers
- Recommend and put into action relevant social media techniques, processes and tools to improve outcomes and efficiency
- Monitor and analyze results of social media using a variety of measurement tools as it relates to client goals and objectives
- Keep on top of new and emerging trends in social media including sites, applications and tools – proactively report on these to internal teams and clients
- Experiment with innovative and alternative ways to leverage social media activities
- Complete a variety of writing assignments, including content for social spaces, newsletters, news releases, trade magazine articles and other published pieces
- Maintain regular client contact and respond to questions/issues quickly, honestly and completely
- Manage accounts and projects flawlessly, including preparation of status and billing reports and other routine communications
- Work collaboratively and effectively within a team environment
- Work with business development team to cultivate and follow through with sales leads
- Strategize with and educate the management team and others across the company on incorporating relevant social media techniques into the corporate culture and into all of the company's products and services
Other Responsibilities:

- Gain "working knowledge" of technologies required to keep Metrics Marketing "leading-edge"
- Travel as necessary.
