The IT infrastructure Manager at Metrics Marketing oversees the planning, installation, control, and maintenance of personal computers, servers and the LAN. The primary responsibility is the day to day operation of our network servers, co-located offsite as well as client machines connected to the network. This position is a hands on networking position and candidates should be very familiar with network operations with emphasis on large database backup and recovery. In addition, the IT Infrastructure manager analyzes business needs and new technology, making recommendations for hardware, software and service purchase and use. The IT Infrastructure Manager is the lead on information technology and security related organizational policy and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Install all new hardware, systems and software for networks
• Install, configure, maintain network services, equipment and devices
• Supports administration of servers and server clusters
• Manager all system back-up and restore protocol
• Plans and supports network and computing infrastructure
• Perform troubleshooting analysis of servers, workstations and associated systems
• Documents network problems and resolution for future reference
• Monitors system performance and implements performance tuning
• Manage user accounts, permissions, email anti-virus, anti-spam
• Requires a thorough knowledge of networking essentials
• Oversee software and network security
• Strong analytical abilities and professional office experience needed
• Manage and maintain the LAN/WAN (including all related hardware, software and network security).
• Manage and maintain all switches, routers and Firewalls
• Keep virus software and encryption software updated on personal computers and the network, and virus scan the network daily.
• Provide software troubleshooting and solutions in the following areas:
  • Microsoft Office Package (Word, Excel, Access and Power Point); Microsoft Outlook; EMC SAN; SAS; Special Departmental Software; and Other miscellaneous software packages
• Manage and maintain inventory of IT software licensing and computer related hardware.
• Oversee internal systems and physical conditions to ensure that a disaster recovery plan is in place.
• Manage information technology or connectivity aspects of space planning, new space build out and the creation of new workspaces.
• Manage and maintain Microsoft Windows Server 2003/2008, Active Directory, and Microsoft Exchange Servers.
• Manage and maintain Shoretel VOIP Phone System
• Manage and maintain the Disaster Recovery site and related policies.

Requirements:

• 5 Plus years of experience in the field
• Bachelors degree in a computer related major
• Certifications: MCSE, CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, CNE preferred
• Systems: Windows, Cisco Systems, UNIX, Linux
• Networking: Switches, Routers, Hubs, Servers, Cables, Racks, Firewalls, LAN, TCP/IP, DNS, VoIP
• Communicates effectively with internal clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions with company project management.
